The Hagstrom Select Series, Vintage Series, and UltraLux Series guitars recapture the original glorious Hagstrom style. They are built to the same stringent quality standards and feature Hagstrom's exclusive technologies including the legendary H-Expander Truss Rod while introducing a number of new technological advances such as the Resinator Fretboard in order to guarantee that these are the finest guitars on the market. The Vintage Series Viking Deluxe is Hagstrom's most sought-after hollowbody. This guitar covers all genres from blues to rock to fusion/jazz and back again. Tremendous tone permates and the Viking Deluxe's incredible sustain has become legendary. It features a Contoured Maple laminate body with a Canadian Hard Maple Set Neck. The fingerboard is made from Resinator wood with Hagstrom Pearl Block Position Marks. The Viking has a 24.75 inch scale length. The H-Expander Truss Rod provides tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, and the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world’s fastest playing guitar. Other features are Hagstrom 18:1 die cast tuning keys, 3-way pickup toggle switch, long travel T-O-M bridge with Hagstrom trapeze tail piece, and 2 x volume/ 2 x tone.

First off the guitar looks great. The cherry sunburst is beautiful. The neck is great vey fast and easy to play. Love the pickups. For me the best part is how versatile the guitar is. Can play rock, blues or jazz. Great guitar for all abilities.

I purchased the Cherry Burst Hagstrom Viking Deluxe and received a beautiful guitar with an excellent finish, easy neck to play, and tone and sustain I can't even get out of my Fender American Deluxe HSS. This guitar can cover all genres easily as it can go from Blues/Jazz, to country, to rock, to metal. I was amazed at the youtube demo, I couldn't believe that the sound I was hearing was coming out of this semi-hollow body! Excellent tone, sustain and sounds coming out of this beauty. If my husband would let me get one more guitar (hee, hee, probably not!) I would get one in natural and even start setting my sights on the Hagstrom Viking Standard. Swedish company but made in China, still a very slick instrument! Pick ups are very versatile! All parts are in-house. I received the guitar in perfect condition, neck, intonation, strings, bridge, nut, frets all set up nicely. Just tuned it up. Heat wave in the East when I ordered it, which made me nervous, but it was perfect when it arrived! Order this guitar, you won't be disappointed!
