Very good product for beginner and experienced. It is really good for those who want to learn on their own and at their own pace. Easy to follow lessons and everything is explained completely. He is a very good instructor.

The 6 DVD's have lots of lessons on each and they are very easy to understand and follow. The exercises build upon techniques and ideas learned in each previous exercise. I highly recommend this not just to Metal guitarists but also beginners who want to find a good starting point. With so much material on self-learning guitar available, it's difficult to pick a place to start. These DVD's, are a great place.

If you can't afford to get private guitar lessons, then this is easily the next best thing. I finished the first 5 stages of the course and learned more than i ever thought i could about playing the guitar. Having access to the scorch files (which is more or less like a play along tab) so you can speed up and slow down each individual exercise really helps you nail the faster ones with no problem at all. Its amazing to see how far i've come in just 3 months of using this product. And im looking forward to starting metal methods speed kills series which i'll be getting shortly.

I have used this course,and other materials available from Metal Method.hands down the best course available,the support is excellent,and you will learn basic guitar to advanced tecniniques and theroy. if you are looking for a self study course look no further,this is it.

I picked up the guitar after a 25+ year hiatus. I found Doug's course from an online ad. It seemed to fit with what I want to accomplish. It's that and more with a lot of extra goodies I wasn't expecting. If you want to learn how the rock guitar gawds do it, then this is for you. Five stars for sure. David Pavlich
