Great fun, family loved it for a while July 22, 2010 Patrick B. Lynch (Beaverton, OR USA) Guitar had some issues (not all the inputs were working all the time). We found that removing the neck and re-instering it would usually fix it, but we "lost" a number of song attempts due to the problem. The game is great with decent list of songs (never as many of my "favorites" as I would like, but I appreciate learning to like new songs). Recommended, even though Band Hero gets the most play. Also, the family loved this for about a month, but now only one or two of us play this from time to time. Nice to have to pull out when friends come over. It's a fun, social game to play!
What's that clicking sound? July 7, 2010 Tonia L. Heitzmann (Gainesville, VA United States) The software for GH 5 is great. This is my first GH game, and I was very excited to venture over to GH. I love Rock Band, but I have heard so many good things about all of the great tunes to jam with on GH.
However, if all of the guitars with GH have this "clicking" sound each time a strum is done, I will never buy another GH game. Each "click" completely ruins the song that I'm attempting to play.
Perhaps I can do something to the guitar to get rid of the "clicking". Is this on every GH guitar? My Rock Band guitar is quiet and I can enjoy the song as a strum.
If I cannot improve/replace my GH guitar, I'm going to get rid of both the guitar and the GH 5 game. I can't stand hearing the "clicking" when I'm trying to enjoy the great songs, so I why should I bother keeping either item.
So So June 8, 2010 William Perry (Prescott, WI) This game is just ok. Neither myself, nor my kids have heard of nealy 80% of the songs on the list.
worked with other Wii instruments April 17, 2010 W. Post (Illinois) This GH 5 worked with our Wii Rockband (another guitar, drums, microphone) which was a nice feature. I wouldn't call the song selection kid-friendly but nice having some more songs to challenge the family.
beware of used games - even from Amazon.com! April 15, 2010 Craig J. Kahlke 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The game came quickly as promised, and the guitar controller is fine- but the game itself skips, in the middle of a song without warning- messing up one's score! I emailed the seller about just replacing the game, and never heard back. If you reset the wii console, it usually corrects the problem-but the seller should have known and replied to my email, which was very professional.
